Empire Cycles introduce exclusive Hope brake and wheel sets makers of the innovative and highly acclaimed AP-1 downhill mountain bike. Empire Cycles, have teamed up with legendary UK parts manufacturer, Hope Technology, to offer its customers exclusive, Empire-specific, precision engineered brake and wheel sets. A stunning blend of form and function, the high-spec Hope packages are available now and will be sold as a complete set; offered to Empire Cycles’ customers at the time of purchase, ready to be added to the built AP-1 frame prior to its despatch. The Hope/Empire brake set costs £434.70, while the complete front and rear wheel Hope/Empire package costs £442.75. "Hope's brake and wheel sets are made exclusively for Empire and, just like our AP-1, they are machined and built to the very highest standards." The super-stiff, hand-finished Hope Pro 3 AM-4 front and rear wheel set, which What MTB referred to as "light, tight, impressively tough, totally versatile and very long lasting," is constructed from aluminium and features a cartridge bearing, aluminium cassette body and DT Swiss Competition spokes. The beautifully crafted, high quality front and rear Hope Tech V2 brake sets offer downhill riders unbelievable stopping power, superior cooling and first class adjustability, prompting Doddy from MBUK to say: “holy $%£! These brakes are powerful!" Weighing in at a super-svelte 564g, the complete set includes: lever, caliper, master cylinder, a floating or vented rotor and Goodridge braided hoses.
